Executive Assistant to the CIO
Inside Higher Ed is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Associate Vice Chancellor and CIO. This role is responsible for providing high-level administrative support, managing the CIO's calendar, and ensuring effective communication and coordination within the IT department.

Responsibilities
Establishing and maintaining a professional and cooperative working environment within the CIO's office
Providing executive-level programmatic, analytical, and administrative support on a wide range of issues, projects, programs, and on matters of importance to Information Technology Solutions (ITS)
Operating with a high level of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy when interacting with UCR constituents including ITS Leadership and staff
Working collaboratively with internal and external constituents including, faculty, staff, students, and vendors
Managing the CIO's calendar and assuring that the CIO is fully briefed and has all relevant background materials for each engagement
Coordinating with other staff to clarify and arrange details of meetings
Ensuring relevant materials, data, resources, information are summarized and compiled, as appropriate and applicable to a wide variety of situations and audiences
Preparing communications, arranging meetings/travel schedules, overseeing special projects (such as ITS event planning) and the review of hardware and software purchases made by UCR organizations other than ITS
Developing and distributing agendas, preparing presentations on behalf of the CIO, attending meetings, taking minutes/record highlights and tracking action items, and initiating follow-up as necessary
Maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems for easy retrieval

High degree of autonomy in functioning
Ability to establish and maintain a professional and cooperative working environment
Knowledge of policies and procedures to achieve maximum efficiency
Executive-level programmatic, analytical, and administrative support skills
Ability to operate with a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and diplomacy
Collaborative working skills with internal and external constituents including faculty, staff, students, and vendors
Thorough understanding of the CIO's priorities and expectations
Calendar management skills for the CIO
Ability to assure the CIO is fully briefed with relevant background materials
Coordination skills with other staff to clarify and arrange meeting details
Ability to summarize and compile relevant materials, data, resources, and information
Communication preparation skills
Meeting and travel schedule arrangement skills
Special project oversight skills (such as ITS event planning)

Current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position
