Responsibilities
Serve as the dedicated Controller for key clients in the consumer goods space, owning their core accounting operations from A/P and A/R to the general ledger and month-end close
Deliver clear and accurate financial statements and management reports directly to client leadership and founders
Translate complex financial data into actionable business insights that guide client strategy and decision-making
Act as the primary financial liaison for the client, managing relationships with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders with professionalism and confidence
Strengthen the client’s financial foundation by implementing best practices, improving internal controls, and recommending system enhancements
Guide clients through key financial milestones, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and audit preparation
Qualification
Required
5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a strong preference for the consumer goods industry
Deep understanding of GAAP and a proven ability to manage full-cycle accounting
Experience in a multi-client or consulting environment is highly desirable
Mastery of Excel and proficiency with modern accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite)
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage priorities across multiple stakeholders
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with client executives
