Director of Water Resources Engineering
Churchill Consulting Engineers is a full service engineering firm that provides public and private sector clients with planning, design, surveying, permitting, and construction management services. As a Water Resources Department Manager, you will lead a team to develop engineering designs for stormwater management and drainage infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet client and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Lead a project team consisting of engineers, designers, and field personnel involved in the design, modification, analysis, and constructability of water resources-related projects
Coordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholders
Coordinate with office management and other project managers to share resources
Assist in proposal preparation including oral presentations. Also prepare the scope, schedule, and budget for new projects
Interface with clients including state and local agencies
Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of engineering and construction-related issues
Prepare, review, and/or approve proposals, contracts, or cost estimates
Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with sub-consultants, and clients
Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget
Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements
Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements
Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation
Take ownership of projects from start to finish
Manage staff work assignments
Assist with workload projections for department
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineering License in NJ
15+ years of experience in the water resource engineering, design field
Experience with public agencies a plus
Knowledge of NJDEP SWM regulations
Ability to manage engineering, design or construction projects
Experience with supervising staff
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
Knowledge and experience with hydrologic and hydraulic software (e.g., HEC-RAS, Hydraflow, StormCAD, HydroCAD)
Solid organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members
Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices
Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred
Proficiency in Civil3D and Microstation preferred
