Responsibilities
Drive implementation of best practices in software systems development and product lifecycle management
Serve as a technical leader, providing mentorship, guidance, and feedback to engineering teams
Develop and deliver high-quality technical solutions to complex system challenges under tight timelines
Collaborate with Commercial, Clinical, and cross-functional teams to capture user needs and translate them into system requirements
Lead decomposition of system-level requirements into software subsystem requirements
Own and lead risk analysis activities, including hazard identification and mitigation implementation
Partner with verification engineers to define verification and validation strategies, ensuring full requirements traceability
Participate in software design reviews for components and system features
Perform product backlog grooming and feature definition as part of Agile planning and execution
Enable collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to improve processes, practices, and technical outcomes
Support design transfer activities, interfacing with manufacturing, service, and customer training teams
Ensure compliance with product development processes and quality systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 10+ years of professional experience
Subject matter expertise in requirements management and risk management for complex, regulated systems
Experience working with digital applications (SaMD, MDDS) connected to regulated electro-mechanical devices
Strong experience in Agile development environments, including backlog creation and management
Experience in regulated industries (medical device, healthcare preferred)
Excellent oral, written, and technical documentation skills
Proven ability to work across cross-functional teams in complex system environments
Preferred
Experience supporting clinically deployed digital applications
Familiarity with connected and interoperable systems of systems
Background in healthcare or medical device product development
