Assistant Professor, English (African American Literature)

Collaborate with interdisciplinary programs such as Race and Ethnic Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Indigenous Studies, and Global Studies
Engage in scholarly research
Mentor graduate students

Required

Candidates must hold a PhD in hand by July 1, 2026
An active and promising research agenda is expected
Experience and promise as an excellent teacher
Successful candidates must have an established research trajectory
Ability to teach courses in 20th and 21st century African American literature

Preferred

A track record of campus programming or community engagement is preferred
Experience developing curriculum
