Required

Must have Accounting Officer (Specialist) list eligibility, transfer, or reinstatement eligibility and be reachable on the certification list to be eligible for this position

Preferred

Demonstrated experience in accounting principles and State of CA accounting practices and procedures
Experience with accounts payable
Experience working in the State of CA accounting system; FI$Cal
Experience reviewing travel expense claims, travel policies, and CalATERS, the State of CA travel reimbursement system
Experience analyzing financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions
Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) and other Office applications
Ability to interpret and apply the State Administrative Manual (SAM), Government Codes, and Departmental Policies
