Responsibilities

Work alongside nurses and healthcare professionals to strengthen clinical skills, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary communication
Participate in activities that will enhance nursing knowledge and practice
Commit to working 30-36 hours per week for 10 weeks, including all shifts and weekend rotations

Required

Must be qualified to graduate from a baccalaureate nursing program or associate nursing program by December 2026 or May 2027, following the summer internship
Hold one of the following active certifications/licenses: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B), Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT-P), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
Active CPR certification: Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands-on learning) from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross and State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter-Dependent Adult and Child Abuse certifications
Commitment to work 30-36 hours per week for 10 weeks. Interns can expect to work all shifts, including Days, PMs, and nights, along with weekend and holiday rotations
