Accounting Assistant

Serving Workers for the Harvest is dedicated to preparing gospel workers to reach the unreached and disciple believers. The Accounting Assistant will provide comprehensive support to the CFO and executive team, focusing on accounting and administrative functions, as well as managing records and communications.

Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Assist with financial tasks such as donation processing, expense tracking, and invoice management
Perform data entry and reporting using accounting software
Support preparation and maintenance of financial reports and records
Update and maintain databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Manage daily office operations, emails, and correspondence
Organize and maintain both electronic and physical records
Prepare, edit, and format reports, presentations, and communications
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications
Draft and send newsletters, emails, and staff updates
Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and events
Manage executive calendars and meeting logistics
Monitor compliance with legal and ethical standards
Ensure personnel and ministry files are maintained and current
Update and manage the Personnel Handbook and Process & Procedure Manual
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned
Provide logistical and administrative support for various ministry efforts
Collaborate with SWH staff to help accomplish the mission of reaching, discipling, and multiplying the body of Christ

Required

Maintains a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as a baptized believer
Possesses a passion to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ in all nations and can clearly present the Gospel

Demonstrates integrity, humility, resilience, and a servant's heart (1 Timothy 3; Proverbs 31)
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Integrity, professionalism, and a servant's heart
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with accounting software
Basic internet and database management skills

Preferred

Bachelor's or Associate's degree (Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or related field)
3–5 years of experience in administrative support, bookkeeping, or similar role (nonprofit experience a plus)
