Responsibilities
Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documents, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics)
Prepare reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis
Provides completion of technical tasks
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
Helps scope equipment for use and complete qualifications
Works with teams on general lab functions; including calibration, implementation of safety procedures, and routine equipment maintenance
Notifies manager or team lead upon recognition of factors that may affect project
Helps develop prototype processes and test set-ups
Executives designed test protocols and conducted testing
Effective documents and communication test results
Handles chemicals occasionally using provided protective equipment
Supports hardware debugging
Qualification
Required
A combination of equivalent education and experience
A minimum of training of high school or secondary school in a technical discipline with 2-4 years relevant experience in a relevant R&D setting
A technical degree such as B.S. degree + 1-2 years of experience in a related field
Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures
The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group and communicate effectively with the lab team and extended team members
Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope
Proficiency in personal computers
Ability to train lower-level technicians
