The Assistant Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining all Broward House owned properties, supervising technicians, and implementing maintenance tasks such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

Provides direction and support to facilities staff with tasks and interactions with other staff and clients
Monitor, prioritize and respond to maintenance help desk requests
Implements and tracks progress of routine maintenance schedules, while making suggestions for improvement
Monitor, prioritizes and responds to Maintenance Helpdesk requests
Monitors each property on a regular schedule, as directed by Facilities Director
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, door hardware and general maintenance
Completes necessary tasks related to contracted renovations and construction projects
Maintains inventory of Maintenance related equipment and supplies
Monitors and responds to emergency facility requests
Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
Maintain orderliness, safety and cleanliness of properties
Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal guidelines
Perform duties as assigned during hurricanes, or other emergencies
Prompt completion and submission of all paperwork involved with maintenance functions
Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined

Required

This position requires at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, and (2) years directly related experience
Valid Florida Driver's License and ongoing proof of insurance required
Electrical and Flooring (2) year minimum experience required
Proficiency in the use of standard power and hand tools
Basic math skills for measurement and computation
Ability to read and comprehend assembly directions
Must pass all drug and background screening, including a level 2 federal background and motor vehicle screening
