Zachry Group is a prominent engineering firm, and they are seeking an Engineer III I&C to perform a variety of engineering and design activities involving power plant upgrades and new projects. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of senior engineering staff and assist with calculations, modifications, and designs to improve plant performance, safety, and reliability.

Responsibilities

Successful candidate will be relied upon to perform a variety of engineering and design activities involving power plant upgrades and/or new power plant projects under the supervision of senior engineering staff

Successful candidate should have working knowledge of evaluation, selection and application of standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria

Individual will assist with performing calculations, modifications, and designs

Individual must possess technical knowledge of civil/structural discipline and ability to work on project teams with other engineers to assist in evaluating conditions and developing design changes which will improve plant performance, safety, and reliability

Required

a minimum 3.0 GPA in civil engineering from an accredited engineering program

Demonstrated knowledge of industry codes including ACI, AISC and ASCE 7 is desired. Knowledge can be demonstrated through academic record or work experience

excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required

Effective time management skills are required as position may involve working on several projects concurrently

understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and processes

Ability to pass security and drug screening and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access is required

Overtime work is required at times

Travel is required to client sites with periods of field/office work

Ability to perform walk downs of equipment in an industrial plant environment, to include climbing ladders, accessing security-controlled areas, and entering confined spaces and controlled hazardous areas
