Responsibilities

Answer toll free telephone line
Receive calls, recording names and phone numbers
Return calls to relay pertinent information to participants about the status of hearings
Respond to general inquiries on Appeals definitions, policies and procedures
Communicate effectively, courteously, and in a professional manner with the public, staff and all internal customers
Post information to agency records
Maintain office schedules and appointments
Must be able to work 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m
Other duties as needed

Required

Six months of full-time experience that provided knowledge of administrative support functions and office practices and procedures, or clerical administration and business management practices, such as preparation, maintenance, and control of forms, records, and reports
Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position
Acceptance into a TWC Internship, TWC Apprenticeship, or current participation in a TWC approved high school career and technical education program will satisfy the minimum qualifications
Strong communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines
Ability to work at 101 E. 15th Street in Austin, Texas, and be able to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
Must be able to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

Preferred

Communication skills due to extensive contact with the public, representing in a professional manner
Attention to detail, to accurately enter information
Demonstrated experience answering high volume telephone line(s)
Demonstrated experience recording names and phone numbers when answering phone lines
Demonstrated experience responding to inquiries on policies and procedures
Demonstrated experience maintaining office schedules and appointments
Good interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external customers
Demonstrated experience with data and ten-key entry
Familiar with unemployment insurance programs
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy
PC/Software knowledge, especially Outlook and PeopleSoft
