Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end data and solution architecture for AEP RTCDP with Snowflake as a core data source and analytics layer
Design the migration strategy from Unica to AEP RTCDP, including audience, campaign, and data model rationalization
Define enterprise-grade AEP data architectures, including XDM-based schemas, datasets, and data flows for both batch and streaming data
Establish the overall reference architecture for integrations between AEP, Snowflake, AJO, CJA, and the broader martech/adtech ecosystem
Create and govern Experience Data Model (XDM) schemas covering customer profiles, behavioral events, offline data, and preference/consent data
Map legacy Unica data structures and Snowflake models into XDM-compliant schemas, ensuring long-term scalability and reusability
Define data contracts and ingestion specifications for internal tech teams and external partners
Configure and optimize AEP RTCDP (B2C/B2P as applicable) including sources, destinations, segment definitions, and activation patterns
Partner with marketing and product teams to design audiences and real-time activation strategies across channels (email, web, mobile, media, etc.)
Support AJO journeys leveraging RTCDP segments and events to orchestrate cross-channel experiences
Support Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) connections, data views, and schema mapping to enable robust, multi-channel measurement and insights
Design and oversee data ingestion pipelines from Unica exports, Snowflake, web/mobile SDKs, and other enterprise systems into AEP
Architect identity resolution strategies (identity namespaces, identity graphs, stitching rules) to create a unified customer profile
Lead integration workstreams to connect AEP with Adobe Experience Cloud products (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Target, Campaign, if in scope) and external tools via APIs, ETL, and streaming frameworks
Collaborate closely with data engineering teams on Snowflake–AEP integration patterns (push/pull, reverse ETL, batch vs. near real-time)
Define data governance standards for AEP: naming conventions, data classifications, schema governance, and access controls
Ensure strict compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, including consent and preference management designs within AEP
Implement data quality frameworks: monitoring, validation rules, anomaly detection, and reconciliation with Snowflake and source systems
Serve as the primary subject matter expert and trusted advisor on AEP RTCDP for marketing, IT, data engineering, analytics, and vendor partners
Run discovery workshops to capture business requirements, translate them into technical designs, and align stakeholders on scope and trade-offs
Provide technical leadership to onshore/offshore developers, data engineers, and implementation partners, ensuring solution integrity and timely delivery
Present solution options, architectural decisions, and progress to senior business and technical stakeholders in clear, concise language
Own the creation of solution design documents, technical specifications, and data flow diagrams for AEP, Snowflake, and integrated systems
Document migration plans from Unica (data, audiences, campaigns, logic) and drive the execution roadmap
Provide level-of-effort estimates and support project planning, scoping, and release sequencing
Contribute to best practices, playbooks, and internal standards for future AEP/RTCDP implementations

Required

5+ years of experience in martech / customer data platforms / digital marketing technology with at least 2–3 years of hands-on work with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP)
Proven experience implementing or architecting AEP RTCDP, including: - XDM schema design - Data ingestion (batch/streaming) - Segment creation and activation - Identity resolution and profile unification
Strong experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses, including SQL, data modeling, and performance considerations
Direct experience with campaign or marketing automation platforms, ideally including Unica (IBM Campaign) or similar legacy systems, and migrating off them
Practical knowledge of AJO and/or CJA—either greenfield implementations or major enhancements
Solid understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, consent management, PI/PII handling)
Ability to read, review, or guide implementation in API-based integrations, ETL/ELT pipelines, and event streaming (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, or comparable tools)
Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams (marketing, analytics, IT, product, vendors) and translating business goals into technical architectures
Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex technical topics in business-friendly terms and lead discussions with senior stakeholders

Preferred

Adobe certifications such as: - Adobe Certified Expert – Adobe Experience Platform - Adobe RTCDP, AJO, or CJA certifications (or equivalent practical mastery)
Prior experience in large-scale enterprise migrations (legacy campaign tools → modern CDP/RTCDP)
Familiarity with broader adtech/martech ecosystems: DSPs, DMP/CDP tools, tagging, server-side tracking, consent management platforms, etc
Experience with Python, JavaScript, or scripting languages used to automate data movement, validation, or configuration tasks
Background in consulting or agency environments, with comfort in customer-facing roles and pre-sales / discovery engagements
Experience in retail, travel, hospitality, or entertainment verticals is a plus
