Responsibilities
Analyze and underwrite new small-business funding applications in accordance with internal credit and pricing guidelines
Review merchant documentation including bank statements, processing statements, and supporting financials
Assess cash flow, business stability, owner profile, and overall creditworthiness
Price transactions based on risk, structure, and portfolio objectives
Conduct merchant verification calls to validate business operations and funding needs
Collaborate with sales and support teams to structure, approve, and close deals
Escalate complex files and provide thoughtful recommendations to senior underwriters
Contribute to ongoing analysis of portfolio performance and underwriting trends as the platform scales
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
0–3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, finance, or a related analytical role
Solid understanding of credit fundamentals, cash-flow analysis, and risk assessment
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working within a team-oriented culture
Curious, coachable, and eager to grow professionally
Preferred
