Senior Director, Social Media

As the Senior Director of Social Media, you will lead social-first campaigns for healthcare brands, collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to ensure culturally relevant and compliant messaging across various platforms.

Responsibilities
Own social strategy end-to-end for multiple healthcare and pharmaceutical brands, serving as the senior, day-to-day social lead and trusted client advisor
Set a clear vision for how brands show up socially, spanning organic, paid, influencer, creator, and social-first video
Lead the development and execution of platform-native campaigns, including work across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, and emerging spaces
Partner closely with creative teams on social-first content and video shoots, including projects featuring patients, creators, and influential voices in women’s health
Bring a strong POV on paid vs. organic roles, content volume, testing, and optimization — and confidently guide clients through tradeoffs
Stay ahead of platform trends, cultural moments, and new formats, translating what’s next into smart, brand-safe opportunities
Collaborate with data science and analytics partners to uncover insights, measure impact, and tell compelling performance stories that energize clients
Lead and oversee social media budgets, working with internal counterparts to optimize channel mix, scopes of work, and paid investment
Identify and present new growth opportunities, from integrated social programs to influencer partnerships and innovative platform activations
Build strong relationships with social platform partners, keeping a pulse on upcoming capabilities and betas relevant to healthcare
Serve as an exceptional people leader, mentoring senior talent, developing future leaders, and fostering a culture of trust, curiosity, and accountability
Qualification
Required
9+ years of experience in social media, digital, or integrated marketing, ideally within healthcare or Rx pharma
Deep expertise across social platforms and tools, including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, analytics, monitoring, and reporting platforms
Strong understanding of FDA and FTC regulations and how they shape branded social strategy
Experience partnering with paid, digital and analytics teams to support integrated communications
Agency experience with a proven ability to lead senior client relationships
A track record of growing social business, contributing to pitches, and identifying new opportunities
Demonstrated success leading and mentoring teams at scale
Exceptional communication and presentation skills — you can clearly articulate strategy, performance, and POV
Preferred
Bring a clear point of view on social — and can back it up with experience
Thrive in fast-moving, high-visibility environments where strategy and execution are tightly linked
Are energized by social-first storytelling, especially video and creator-led work
Know how to lead confidently under regulatory constraints without letting them kill creativity
Are comfortable advising senior clients, navigating ambiguity, and making decisions when there isn't a perfect answer
