Sales Director - East Coast
QLM Search is a high-growth, premium branded bakery business seeking a Sales Director – East Coast to scale its presence across the US grocery market. The role involves leading regional commercial growth, managing customer relationships, and overseeing distribution expansion in the bakery category.
Responsibilities
Owning and growing East Coast retail accounts across conventional grocery and natural/specialty channels
Securing new distribution and expanding existing listings within the bakery aisle
Leading customer negotiations, pricing, promotions, and joint business planning
Managing regional sales targets, forecasts, and customer P&L performance
Working closely with distributors and broker partners to ensure strong in-store execution
Partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver against plans
Acting as the regional voice of the customer and category internally
As the business scales, there will be scope to build and lead a regional sales team
Qualification
Required
10+ years' sales experience within US bakery businesses (fresh or packaged)
Proven success managing East Coast grocery retailers and/or regional bakery customers
Strong understanding of bakery economics, including margin structures, trade spend, shelf life, and service levels
Experience working with distributors and brokers in the bakery category
This role is bakery-specific. Only candidates with direct bakery category experience will be considered
Preferred
Background in premium, branded, or differentiated bakery products strongly preferred
