Responsibilities
Work with school leadership and departments to develop, review, and adjust budgets
Provide regular updates on spending to support proactive decision-making
Monitor school budgets for sustainability, compliance, and program alignment
Prepare and submit accurate financial reports, statements, and student record information using multiple systems
Stay current with federal, state, and local accounting rules, laws, and regulations
Create and submit grant applications and amendments based on school and student needs
Represent school financial needs with departments of education, school boards, and authorizers
Communicate effectively with schools, vendors, departments, and state agencies while delivering excellent customer service
Assess complex financial situations and recommend solutions independently or with the team
Assist with programmatic and financial audits
Maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Self-directed, motivated, and growth-oriented
Collaborative team player with proven interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Ability to analyze and summarize large datasets
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
Preferred
Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Business, or related field preferred)
Experience in business, accounting, or related field
