Mid LevelBenny's Car Wash is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their Maintenance Department. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, installation of new equipment, and repairs to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
Perform regular and preventative maintenance on Benny's Car Wash, Oil Change, and Convenience store equipment. This would include but not be limited to; work on car wash equipment, lighting systems, air/water dispensers, signage, minor building repair, painting, plumbing, landscaping, and irrigation
Review, inspect and analyze electronic and mechanical issues on a regular basis. If possible, repair and/or correct items while on site. If the issue lies outside capabilities and/or required materials are not on site, identify solutions and communicate by submitting or responding to a work ticket
Work with and manage outside vendors as needed or as instructed by the Maintenance Manager or Chief Maintenance Officer
Maintain work tickets on a daily basis to be able to communicate status and timeline for completion, as well as changed priorities
Regular contact with Maintenance Manager to agree on priorities and schedule
Coordinate activities with site management to ensure all parties are informed of what is happening, when and why
Communicate daily with Area, General and Store Managers and is able to explain technical issues to non-technical people
Maintain company-provided assets, including company vehicle and all tools and equipment issued
Perform all tasks safely and environmentally responsibly and in compliance with rules, procedures, and local laws and regulations
Remain current on all OSHA training requirements and regulations
Transports and transfers equipment to and from company and other locations as needed
Must maintain a clean driving record
Provide necessary paperwork in a timely manner as well as keeping up with monthly safety bulletins and LMS activities
Inventory, transport, and handle chemicals and materials in compliance with all safety guidelines. Maintain SDS sheets for all new and existing chemicals and report any changes to the HR Director
Handle all hazardous material with proper PPE and following the safety guidelines as instructed
Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
Qualification
Required
Previous experience as a technician or maintenance engineer required
Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to lift up to 35lbs at heights above the shoulder or head may be required on an occasional basis and should be done with the assistance of a coworker. Lifting occurs occasionally during a typical 8-10 hour workday
Ability to work on ladders and in tight spaces
Ability to demonstrate proper lifting, pushing and reaching techniques
Ability to safely operate a variety of power tools
Basic computer skills are required
A typical work week is a MINIMUM of 40 hours per week
Work day and work hours will vary as needed and season require, but regular early mornings and evenings are expected
Work week is Thursday through Wednesday with payday on Wednesday of every week
Must be available for emergencies and before/after-hours work on a regular basis
Must respond to emergencies in a timely fashion; this will include calls outside of normal working hours
Must be a self-starter who can work independently within a team environment and demonstrate a high sense of urgency with repairs to minimally impact business
Time off requests must be in writing and submitted at least 2 weeks in advance. In the event of an emergency, or an illness preventing or delaying an employee from their shift, a telephone call must be made to the Maintenance Manager or Chief Maintenance Officer to his mobile
Must work as a team player and uphold Benny's standards of professionalism and integrity
We sell 'clean', so you must maintain yourself and your work area as clean and organized as possible. Having extra work shirts and pants accessible when working on dirty equipment is required during business hours
Employee must possess high standards of conduct. Those standards include reliability, promptness, courtesy, appearance, and professional behavior
May only use personal phone during working hours for business-related purposes
Must comply with company policy for hands-free devices while driving
