They are seeking a highly capable Controller / Corporate Finance Lead to own and scale the accounting and financial reporting function, overseeing corporate accounting and accounting across acquired businesses.

Responsibilities
Own all accounting functions - close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
Oversee and standardize accounting across portfolio companies as they migrate onto the platform
Serve as the internal expert on accounting systems and workflows
Build and maintain a consistent chart of accounts, policies, and controls across entities
Prepare consolidated financial reporting and support audit and tax processes
Support FP&A style work, including budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis
Work with messy or incomplete data from acquired businesses and help to clean and normalize it
Educate portfolio companies on finance and accounting best practices
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, or similar roles
Strong command of accounting fundamentals, including journal entries and GAAP principles
Hands on experience with modern accounting platforms such as Sage Intacct and QuickBooks
Prior experience in a multi unit or multi entity environment, including companies with multiple locations or operating entities
Experience overseeing or integrating accounting across multiple business units
Comfortable working in a fast paced, evolving environment
Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn raw data into insight
A mindset toward scaling, including evaluating outsourcing, automation, and AI enabled tools
High integrity, attention to detail, and ownership mindset
