Responsibilities
Architect from Scratch: Design and build the data ingestion systems for massive streams of raw satellite and radar data
Operationalize AI: Build the pipelines that take Deep Learning models from research to production
Scale Infrastructure: Make high-level decisions on Cloud-native architecture (GCP/AWS)
Bridge the Gap: Create the tooling that allows data scientists to work efficiently at scale
Qualification
Required
Proven experience designing, developing and supporting weather intelligence /AI platforms
5+ years of engineering experience with a history of building complex data systems/platforms from scratch
Deep, production-level proficiency in Python
Architect-level experience with managed services on GCP or AWS
Proven ability using tools like Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect for complex ML pipelines
You must be able to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience in an 'Open Science' or research-heavy environment
Passion for 'AI for Good' and democratizing technology
Experience in a high-growth startup
