Data Entry and Support Specialist
MedNorth Health Center is dedicated to improving outcomes for at-risk, first-time parents through their Nurse Family Partnership program. The Data Entry and Support Specialist is responsible for managing data entry, ensuring accuracy, and providing clerical support to the program. This role also involves community outreach and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities
First point of contact for incoming inquiries about the program
Triages and processes incoming client referrals
Assists in community outreach activities, such as distributing brochures and retrieving client referrals. Establishes and maintains a positive relationship with local referring agencies and other community resources for clients
Prepare updates for Community Advisory Board meetings
Manage and organize client graduation events, and other agency-wide events as needed
Arranges travel and training logistics for NFP team
Inputs Nurse-Family Partnership data in a timely and accurate manner into the web-based information system; complies with or assists in the compilation of statistical information for both specialized and standard reports and other documents
Performs program support tasks such as organizing forms; photocopies; coordinating meetings and recording notes; sort, route, and distribute mail; making reminder calls for visits as requested by the nurse supervisor and nurse home visitors
Compiles and places orders for program materials, accepts deliveries and maintains program material inventory
Complies with or assists in the compilation of statistical information for reports
Performs program support tasks such as organizes forms; photocopies; files; orders and maintains program materials and educational handouts; and makes reminder calls for visits
Performs general clerical functions
Utilizes computerized data entry equipment and various word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs to enter, store, and retrieve information as requested or otherwise necessary, and summarizes data in preparation of standardized reports
Participate in community outreach activities such as distributing program brochures and retrieving client referrals as delegated by the supervisor
Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations
Performs other work as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree. Professional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree
Minimum of one year's experience in data entry and administrative support
High level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft and computer-based systems required
Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License (required)
A safe driving record is required (Driver's License background check will be conducted prior to offer of employment and will be conducted annually for organizational insurance purposes)
Knowledge of techniques and methods for organizing, prioritizing and monitoring work
Knowledge of quality assurance standards and methods
Knowledge of basic project management principles
Knowledge of uses and properties of supplies and equipment
Knowledge of basic inventory maintenance principles
Knowledge of customer service principles
Knowledge of specialized equipment relevant to area of assignment
Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
Knowledge of survey research best practices including instrument design and methodology
Skills in coordinating deadlines, prioritizing work demands and assigning/monitoring work performed
Skills in providing attention to detail in assignments
Skills in interpreting and applying applicable laws, codes, regulations and standards (based on assignment)
Skills in using tact, discretion, initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
Skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing
