Senior Counsel Litigations & International Labor Unions
Confidential company is seeking a Senior Counsel for Litigations & International Labor Unions, a senior leadership role responsible for local and global litigations and labor-related legal disputes. The role involves overseeing labor litigation, managing arbitration and dispute resolution, and ensuring compliance with international labor standards.

Responsibilities
Managing the defense or prosecution of labor-related lawsuits, including claims of unfair labor practices, breach of collective bargaining agreements, and international human rights violations
Acting as the lead representative in labor arbitrations and mediation sessions where internal grievances have escalated to formal legal proceedings
Developing and maintaining legal frameworks for interacting with global union federations and coordinating social dialogues to preempt industrial action
Ensuring all labor practices and court defenses align with International Labour conventions and regional labor statutes
Overseeing all stages of litigation, from initial filings to final appeals; coordinating with outside counsel to manage case dockets and legal budgets
Participating as a key legal member of negotiation teams for collective bargaining agreements to ensure terms are legally sound and enforceable
Leading investigations into complex employee grievances and disciplinary matters that have high potential for litigation or union escalation
Providing counsel to the C-Suite on the legal risks of global workforce adjustments, such as mass layoffs or office relocations, to minimize legal exposure
Qualification
Required
10–15 years of experience global litigations, labor litigation, industrial relations, or as legal counsel within a major international union
at least 5 years in a senior management capacity
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Law and passed a US bar exam
