They are seeking a Quality Technician to ensure quality throughout the carbide department at their Bedford plant, working closely with manufacturing and QA personnel to perform inspections and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

Inspect carbide inserts using various handheld gauges, Oasis, and metallurgical testing equipment to assure Kennametal and customer specifications are met

Pack and prepare carbide inserts for shipment

Grind carbide inserts as needed

Transport carbide inserts and powder

Perform miscellaneous utility duties for Carbide department

Assure quality by following procedures and test methods

Work with manufacturing and QA to solve quality problems

Work with others in QA and manufacturing to determine disposition of carbide inserts

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Follow all safety policies

Serves as Internal Auditor to support the Bedford QMS and ISO 9001:2015 Certification

Support conformance to ISO 9000-2015 Standard by creating and maintaining procedures and work instructions
