Start in 2026 SummerSoTalent is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern for Summer 2026 to support IT and cybersecurity initiatives within a government-regulated environment. This internship combines hands-on technical experience with exposure to real-world cybersecurity operations and frameworks.

Responsibilities
Support IT and cybersecurity operations for commercial products
Assist project teams with cybersecurity and systems initiatives
Learn operational and maintenance processes in regulated environments
Gain exposure to technologies such as VMware, Cisco, Red Hat, and Microsoft
Develop practical experience with cybersecurity tools and workflows
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship
Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles (CIA triad, risk management)
Understanding of operating systems and networking fundamentals
Hands-on experience through coursework or prior internships
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative mindset
Preferred
GPA 3.0+
Exposure to Agile environments or cloud platforms
Experience with tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, or Kali Linux
