Responsibilities

Analyze ROI and promotional spend for key customers and identify growth opportunities

Oversee the accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606)

Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure proper revenue recognition across different revenue streams and business lines

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review contracts and agreements to ensure alignment with revenue recognition guidelines

Update and maintain prices in SAP, correcting orders with pricing errors

Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer preferences to develop and implement effective pricing strategies

Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing models that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market

Conduct pricing analysis and make recommendations for adjustments based on profitability targets and market conditions

Comply with state and local bottle bills

Develop and manage revenue and expense budgets in collaboration with finance and executive teams

Monitor budget performance regularly and provide variance analysis to identify areas of improvement or concern

Work with department heads to develop and track departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals

Review and analyze customer deductions to understand the root cause and verify their validity

Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as Sales, Customer Service, and Operations, to gather information and resolve deduction discrepancies

Investigate and identify trends and recurring deduction issues and provide recommendations for process improvements to reduce future deductions

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deductions and related documentation

Identify areas for process improvement within the deduction management process

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and automation to streamline deduction resolution and recovery processes

Continuously review and update internal deduction management policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies related to revenue recognition and pricing

Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and disclosures related to revenue accounting and pricing for accuracy and completeness

Support external audits and inquiries related to revenue recognition and pricing matters

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred

Proven experience in revenue accounting, pricing strategy, and budget management, preferably in a managerial role

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts receivable processes, and deduction management

Proficiency in using accounting software and tools (e.g., ERP systems such as SAP), Microsoft Excel, Nielsen, SharePoint, Jira, Power BI

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends, identify patterns, root causes of deductions, and recommend solutions

Experience developing and implementing pricing models and strategies

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with substantial amounts of data

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

Preferred
