Responsibilities

Assist in identification and delivery of Continuous Process Improvement initiatives throughout Legacy of Hope
Facilitate targeted process improvement activities through the use of improvement tools and methodologies including Process Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Lean, Six Sigma and Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA)
Deliver measurable impact on organizational goals
Bring leadership, work systems, and stakeholders together to apply process improvement methodologies to new or existing processes
Eliminate non-value added steps, reduce errors, reduce unnecessary costs, and provide exceptional service to stakeholders

Required

Bachelor's degree in business or in a health related field
experience in Process or Performance Improvement methodologies or experience with organ and/or tissue donation and/or transplantation
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or must obtain within first year of hire
Must be self-directed / self-motivated
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
Must accept responsibility for the direction, control and planning of one's own work
Must work independently
Must recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality
Must convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing pain, physical or emotional distress and/or grief
Must relate to others in a manner which creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation
Must communicate effectively with people from every socioeconomic, cultural and educational background
Must exhibit flexibility and cope effectively in an ever-changing, fast-paced healthcare environment
Must perform effectively when confronted with emergency, critical, unusual or dangerous situations

Must maintain a customer focus and strive to satisfy the customer's perceived needs

Preferred

Advanced software and database skills (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, QI Macros)
Black Belt Certification and/or Project Management Certification
