Responsibilities

You'll help us produce expert-level sports content across formats, including:
Play-by-play breakdowns
Strategy deep dives (offense, defense, matchups, analytics-driven decisions)
Player & team scouting reports
Game recap narratives & technical commentary
Historical summaries & iconic sports moments
Rule explanations & scenario analysis
Training datasets, problem statements & long-form analysis
Fact-checking stats, events, player history, and game logic

Required

Deep sports knowledge (modern + traditional)
Clean, engaging writing & storytelling
Strong research & fact-checking ability
Ability to produce original content (no AI-mimic writing)
Understanding of sports culture, history & terminology
Ability to work in multiple formats: articles, scripts, breakdowns, datasets, etc

Preferred

Professional, semi-pro, collegiate, or club levels experience as a player or ex-player
Deep understanding of gameplay mechanics and in-game decision-making
Experience as head coaches, assistant coaches, skills/position coaches
Experience in drills, training programs, strategy, and game planning
Experience as TV, radio, podcast, or digital sports commentators
Skilled in storytelling, color commentary, and tactical breakdowns
Experience as writers covering pro or collegiate sports
Experience in feature stories, interviews, long-form analysis
Experience as statisticians, sabermetrics/analytics professionals
Experience with advanced metrics, performance modeling & data interpretation
