High-Pressure Equipment Inspector
Responsibilities
Contribute effectively in a team-oriented environment
Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Compile field notes, historical documentation, and drawings to produce accurate technical inspection reports
Validate inspection data prior to client submittal
Manage time effectively and resolve field issues as they arise
Perform internal and external inspections of pressure vessels and piping systems, including inspections conducted within confined spaces
Recommend and approve repairs and perform visual inspections of completed work
Ensure compliance with all quality assurance and quality control procedures
Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service
Enforce and adhere to all applicable safety policies and procedures
Mentor and assist in the development of coworkers as required
Maintain a positive, professional attitude
Qualification
Required
API 510 & 570 certifications required: minimum of three (3) years of experience with at least one certification
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong leadership skills and personal discipline
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, including conflict resolution
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass a DISA drug screen, background check, and comply with random drug testing
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Ability to safely enter, traverse, and perform inspection work within confined spaces, including passing through equipment access openings as narrow as sixteen (16) inches in diameter
Ability to work within confined spaces, including vessels, piping systems, and equipment with restricted entry and limited mobility
Ability to crawl, maneuver, and reposition within tight or restrictive spaces to complete inspection tasks
Ability to enter equipment through access openings as small as sixteen (16) inches in diameter
Ability to work at heights and in elevated locations
Ability to work in hot, cold, and/or noisy industrial environments
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
Willingness to work overtime when required, including night shifts and weekends
Preferred
API 653 and/or AWS CWI certifications
