Responsibilities
Process and record incoming contributions using the campaign’s database
Ensure proper coding and documentation for all contributions
Monitor compliance with contribution limits and other legal requirements
Assist the Finance Director and Compliance Team in preparing and submitting financial disclosures to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) or other relevant bodies
Maintain accurate records of expenditures and donations for audit and reporting purposes
Support the development of internal finance policies and procedures
Generate reports on fundraising performance and donor trends
Provide insights to the finance and fundraising teams to optimize efforts
Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and other campaign staff to process payments and reimbursements
Organize and maintain financial documents and files
Assist with donor outreach and communication as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, political science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Previous experience in campaign finance, political fundraising, or accounting preferred
Familiarity with FEC regulations and campaign finance laws is a plus
Proficiency in database management and financial software (e.g., NGP VAN, ActBlue, Excel)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to the campaign's mission and values
Ability to work remotely with access to the internet, and work long or irregular hours
