Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain a scalable data platform supporting enterprise data integrations across data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts
Establish enterprise-scale data integration procedures, pipelines, and frameworks throughout the data development lifecycle
Create data ingestion pipelines using scheduled and trigger-based patterns, ensuring data security, privacy, and governance compliance
Develop performance-optimized DDLs for relational and columnar databases such as Oracle, Postgres, and Netezza
Perform performance tuning of complex data pipelines and SQL queries to ensure efficient data processing
Conduct impact analysis of proposed changes on existing architecture, capabilities, and technology solutions
Manage deliverables, perform design reviews, and coordinate release activities with development teams
Estimate project timelines, identify technical risks, and communicate issues and solutions effectively
Drive automation initiatives, optimize processes, and recommend improvements to enhance data flow efficiency
Utilize agile methodologies and modern data development technologies to rapidly develop and deploy data products
Collaborate with Product Owners during PI planning, requirement clarification, and delivery execution
Provide technical support for production incidents, troubleshooting, and failure resolution
Work closely with global technology teams across different time zones to ensure timely delivery of business value

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field with at least 2 years of experience in data engineering or database management
High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in data engineering or related disciplines
Proficiency in designing and building data warehouses and data lakes
Hands-on experience with large-scale data warehousing applications and databases such as Oracle, Netezza, Teradata, and SQL Server
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, particularly Snowflake, AWS Redshift, and Google BigQuery
Expertise in developing complex data pipelines using industry-leading ETL and ELT tools such as Informatica, SAP Data Services, Fivetran, AWS Glue, and DBT
Strong SQL development skills and experience with scripting languages like Python
Understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and performance tuning of data pipelines and database objects
Experience with version control systems like GitLab and familiarity with CI/CD processes

Experience working in the financial industry is a plus
