Business Development Manager
Genpro Inc. is a logistics provider that has been delivering innovative solutions in the freight marketplace for over 36 years. The Business Development Manager role is focused on driving revenue growth by acquiring new business and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders in the transportation brokerage industry.
Responsibilities
Develops new business by identifying potential new customers and growing revenue, conducting background research on potential customers, discussing the customer’s supply chain with decision makers and other appropriate customer representatives, analyzing customer needs, and developing and implementing value-added solutions
Actively seek out and engage new business prospects through focused lead generation and targeted outreach efforts, including cold calling, networking, and other opportunity prospecting methods
Develop and maintain robust relationships with key clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver customized solutions
Evaluate a customer’s current transportation requirement and determine transportation solutions that best meet the customer’s needs
Visit prospective and existing customers at their corporate headquarters or other sites as needed. Requires the ability to travel to customer sites to meet customer needs
Perform comprehensive market research and analysis to uncover trends and opportunities
Qualification
Required
Logistics & Transportation experience in a transportation brokerage environment is REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in a sales position with a proven track record of success
Strong written & oral communication skills
Preferred
5+ years of experience selling in the Logistics/Supply Chain industry, strongly preferred
An innate ability to build strong relationships with businesses and decision makers
