Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Credit card reconciliation
Bank reconciliation
Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights
Assist with audits by preparing required documentation and supporting schedules
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Implement and maintain accounting control procedures to enhance efficiency
Act as the main support for internal ERP question’s, training as it pertains to accounting transactions and accounts
Assist with payroll/AP processing and ensure accurate record-keeping of all transactions
Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong experience with construction accounting
Strong experience with construction WIP reports
Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
