Regional Human Resources Manager

LHH is seeking an experienced and strategic Regional HR Manager to oversee human resources operations across multiple locations. This role involves extensive travel and requires deep expertise in unionized environments, partnering closely with operations and leadership teams to support workforce strategy, labor relations, compliance, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

Provide HR leadership and support across multiple locations within the region
Serve as the primary HR contact for union labor relations, including contract interpretation, grievance handling, and negotiations support
Partner with operations leaders to ensure consistent application of labor agreements and company policies
Manage employee relations issues, investigations, and corrective action processes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and labor laws
Support talent management initiatives including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and retention
Lead change management and workforce planning initiatives
Train managers on HR best practices, labor relations, and compliance requirements
Analyze HR metrics and provide recommendations to improve workforce effectiveness
Travel extensively (up to 75%) to support field locations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
7+ years of progressive HR experience, including regional or multi-site responsibility
Extensive, hands-on experience working in unionized environments required
Strong knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, grievance processes, and labor law
Proven ability to influence leaders and manage complex employee relations matters
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a field-based role with frequent travel

Preferred

Master's degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
Experience supporting manufacturing, transportation, construction, or similar labor-intensive industries
