They are currently looking for energetic and knowledgeable civil engineering students to fill entry-level, temporary Summer Civil Engineering Intern positions for their Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska offices in Summer 2024.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Observe construction activities, assist with materials testing
Perform basic survey services
Perform bridge inspections in the field and assist with generating inspection reports
Standard computations or analysis
Drawing (AutoCAD, Microstation) assignments to assist in development of project plans
Assists on other tasks such as: hydrology and hydraulics studies, report preparation, preparation of permit applications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in progress; currently enrolled at an accredited university majoring in Civil Engineering
Knowledge of and ability to apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of civil engineering to projects
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
High level of creativity
Successful candidates will be articulate with professional presence, with solid decision-making, planning, and organizational skills
Valid Driver's License required
Preferred
Experience in transportation or construction engineering a plus, but not required
