Louisiana State University is seeking two highly motivated PhD students to join a federally funded traffic safety research project. The students will work on advanced research related to traffic safety, driver behavior, and intelligent transportation systems.
Responsibilities
Work on advanced research related to traffic safety and operations
Study driver behavior
Research intelligent transportation systems (ITS)
Investigate connected and automated vehicles (CAVs)
Conduct data-driven and AI-enabled safety analysis
Qualification
Required
A Master's degree in Transportation Engineering
High GPA (≥ 3.5 / 4.0)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Master's degree completed in the United States
At least one publication in a peer-reviewed journal
Strong research background in traffic safety, ITS, or CAVs
