Pricing Manager

Responsibilities
Leads the development and refinement of pricing strategies and models tailored to complex proposals and long-term projects
Partners with the Business Development team to ensure cost proposals and pricing strategies comply with all federal government regulations, RFP requirements, and internal policies and procedures
Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather technical inputs and develop compliant Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
Works closely with growth, marketing, finance, and business development to align pricing strategies and ensure effective implementation
Analyzes competitive pricing, cost drivers, and historical data to identify opportunities to mitigate risks
Monitors and evaluates pricing performance post-implementation, recommending adjustments as market conditions evolve
Builds dynamic pricing templates and financial models to evaluate different strategies and 'what-if' scenarios
Delivers pricing insights that support strategic business decisions through NPV, IRR, and cash flow analysis
Works closely with executive leadership, including the CFO, to model assumptions based on competitive intelligence and market knowledge
Prepares compelling reports and presentations to communicate key findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders
Studies market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor pricing strategies; stays up to date on pricing analysis techniques, tools, and industry trends to refine methodologies and approaches as needed
Performs other related tasks as assigned by direct supervisor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field
demonstrated experience in accounting, financial reporting, or pricing analysis
5-7 years of experience government contract proposal pricing
Proficiency with tools like Unanet, MS Excel, and financial modeling software
Must be a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can manage multiple priorities
Highly analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
Collaborative team player comfortable engaging across departments and senior leadership
Strong organizational and documentation skills with a commitment to compliance and accuracy
Ability to interpret and apply information from RFPs, SOWs, CONOPS, and other proposal documents
Flexibility to travel occasionally as business needs require
Preferred
Familiarity with proposal pricing tools such as ProPricer is a plus
