Manager Human Resources
Confidential company is an international manufacturing company seeking a Human Resource Manager to lead and direct the daily functions of the HR Department. The role involves planning, developing, and implementing HR programs, managing compensation, employee relations, and performance management, while ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Responsibilities
Responsible for compensation, including sales incentive plans, executive compensation, employee incentive plans, as well as interfaces with global sites in various regions to stay abreast of compensation trends, as well as research and identify changes to recommend
Conducts job analysis, writes job descriptions, and creates job families for the organization
Manages complex wage analysis, benchmarking, and recommendations for pay adjustments as appropriate for promotions, market adjustments, and internal equity. Creates non-exempt and exempt salary structures and adjusts as necessary
Participate in local and/or national merit and/or salary surveys to recommend merit budgets or salary structure adjustments and ensure organizational competitiveness
Identifies, designs, and implements general HR strategies and solutions to achieve agreed outcomes relating to: organizational design, organizational change, performance management, workforce, strategic planning, and other HR activities, including effective negotiation and consultation with staff, as well as communicating with affiliate sites to ensure consistency in employee data and reporting
Manages counseling and conflict resolution in relation to employee issues with managers and employees domestically and at global branch offices and affiliate host sites in Europe, Australia, and Latin America, while investigating grievances to ensure understanding of performance expectations, and optimizing team building
Primary contact for internal audit processes as well as other external audits within the Human Resources Department, and responds to requests
Complies with Federal, State, local, and global employment laws and regulations to execute Human Resources programs while understanding and managing benefits, immigration, and visa requirements
Oversees benefit open enrollment and benefit issues
Oversees performance management process, including training
Provides day-to-day leadership to the department’s staff, including but not limited to selecting, hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, disciplining, work assignments, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution; developing personal growth opportunities for staff; completing and conducting 90-day and annual performance evaluations
Works with executive leadership and legal advisers to serve as a resource when preparing employee agreements, including conducting research as necessary

Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field; and 7-10 years' experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years' minimum leading Human Resources Staff
In-depth knowledge, understanding, and interpretation of Federal, State, and local employment laws
Working knowledge and experience in managing a broad range of HR issues, including performance management, workforce planning, employee relations, HR Planning, change management, compensation, and benefits
Solid understanding of compensation, including incentive plans, required
Proven ability to manage change in a complex and often challenging manufacturing environment
Strong ability to verbally communicate across functional organizational groups, with the proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people internally and externally
Provide high-level customer service through effective interpersonal skills and conflict resolution, with an emphasis on team building and conflict resolution
Preferred
Society for Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), preferred
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), a plus
Working knowledge in global recruitment environment, including foreign labor law, a plus
