Responsibilities
Develop test plans, scenarios, and cases for data pipelines and transformations
Validate ingestion, transformation logic, and data outputs across curated products
Perform regression, integration, and UAT testing
Verify data quality rules, lineage, and mappings
Document defects and track them through resolution
Use SQL and analytical tools to validate pipeline outputs
Support automation of data quality or validation tests
Work closely with Data Engineers and Analysts during release cycles
Qualification
Required
3+ years of software testing or QA experience, preferably in data engineering environments
Strong SQL skills and ability to analyze large datasets
Experience testing data pipelines (ETL/ELT, API integrations, batch, or streaming)
Experience writing test plans and documentation
Strong understanding of data validation, lineage, and quality
Preferred
Experience with AWS, Snowflake, or Airflow testing
Experience with automated testing frameworks
Familiarity with dbt test frameworks
Experience supporting Agile delivery environments
