New GradInside Higher Ed is seeking a Regular Student Tutor for French in the Department of Modern Languages. The role involves providing academic tutoring to students in elementary through intermediate level courses while fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities
Providing in-person academic tutoring to students
Maintaining an effective and positive learning environment
Tutoring and advising students on how to improve their language skills and their language acquisition practices
Assisting in class sessions
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled at least half-time for fall/spring semesters (5 hours for graduates, 6 hours for undergraduates)
International students must be enrolled full-time (9 credit hours for graduates, 12 credit hours for undergraduates)
Must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours to work during the summer
Must be a competent speaker, writer, and learner who can communicate both in the language and about the language being taught
Must be able to meet with students on campus in the department's tutoring office during scheduled times
Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to communicate and work well with others and have sensitivity of intercultural communication
Must handle confidential information in a professional and ethical manner
Preferred
Modern Languages majors and minors are preferred candidates
