Youth Development Staff - North
YMCA of the Inland Northwest is a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Youth Development Staff are responsible for the safety, supervision, and leading activities of children in the Child Watch and Family Activity Center, collaborating to develop and provide academic and enrichment programs for youth.

Responsibilities
Assists or leads program development and implementation, typically including fun activities such as crafts, games, sports, and special events for youth and families
Maintains accurate and complete participant attendance logs within the program, also ensuring positive participant engagement
Supervise, support, and maintain a safe environment where youth can experience positive emotional and social development
Knows, reviews, and applies all safety, emergency, and child abuse prevention policies and procedures, responding to emergency situations in accordance with YMCA protocol
Provides and welcomes ongoing dialogue with families about their child’s participation in activities, behaviors, and related topics, connecting families to the YMCA
Participates as a member of assigned committees, attends regular staff meetings, and promotes the YMCA throughout the local community
Qualification
Required
At least 16 years of age
Completion of YMCA program-specific trainings upon hire
Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds
Preferred
Two years of experience working with youth aged 6 weeks-11 years preferred
