Responsibilities

Design & Documentation

Map data and process flows across systems; create simple diagrams and specs for developers

Document standards, interfaces, and integration patterns (APIs, file drops, events)

Implementation & Delivery

Support the implementation of software and data solutions—configure, script, validate, and deploy

Write and tune SQL (queries, views, stored procedures); assist with data modeling basics

Contribute to Python utilities for ETL/ELT tasks, data validation, and automation

Leverage PowerShell for environment setup, scripting, and operational automation

Requirements & Stakeholders

Gather business requirements and translate into technical tasks and acceptance criteria

Partner with developers, analysts, and business users to ensure solutions meet needs

Cloud & Platforms

Assist with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse work (schemas, roles, data ingestion)

Support API integrations (REST/JSON), including authentication, payload transformations, and error handling

Quality & Operations

Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot issues across transactional and analytics systems

Contribute to standards for logging, access, and SQL Server / Snowflake security concepts

Required

Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems, Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

Solid SQL skills (joins, CTEs, window functions, performance basics)

Coursework or hands-on experience with cloud-based databases (ideally Snowflake)

Python proficiency for scripting, data processing, or automation

Understanding of how systems and data flow end-to-end (source → transform → target; APIs, files, events)

Exposure to APIs (consuming REST endpoints, handling JSON)

Experience from internships or projects in business IT systems (e.g., finance/AR applications) is a plus

Familiarity with PowerShell and C# (transferable scripting/programming skills)

Clear written documentation and stakeholder communication skills

Preferred

Experience with SQL Server security (roles, permissions, access requests)

Basic data modeling (star/snowflake schemas), ETL/ELT tools, or orchestration (Airflow/Azure Data Factory)

Website or application development projects (personal or academic)

Version control (Git), Agile/iterative delivery exposure

Curiosity and a track record of self-directed learning
