Responsibilities
Estimate materials, labor, and freight needed to perform pay items from engineered drawings or plan sheets. Produce quotes for these products and services and then does outreach out to bidders/contractors. When drawings are not available contact will be made to companies bidding to obtain quantities
Promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
Demonstrate products and services to explain to potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs
Established, develop, and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services
Make telephone calls and give presentations to existing and prospective customers
Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
Develop clear and effectively written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers
Analyze the territory/market potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers’ value to the organization
Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the return on time investment for the territory/segment
Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potentials for new products
Participate in Trade Shows and Conventions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Able to meet deadlines
Trainable and work independently with little supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software programs
Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems
Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills
Ability to work independently, as well as within a cross-functional team environment
Preferred
Construction experience is preferred but not required
