Vice President, Direct, and Channel Sales

Amberes is a high-growth, private equity-backed cybersecurity company entering a critical phase of commercial scale. They are seeking a Vice President, Direct and Channel Sales to manage the Direct Sales team and Channel team, focusing on revenue performance across both direct and partner-led channels while driving the company's growth ambitions.

Responsibilities

Directly manage the Direct Sales team, including Account Executives, as well as the Channel team
Act as a first-line manager for Account Executives across North America, owning commercial revenue across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise-adjacent accounts
Drive pipeline creation, deal execution, forecasting, and close, while establishing forward-looking pipeline visibility beyond the current quarter
Define and manage KPIs, strengthen sales talent where needed, and partner closely with Marketing to align inbound and outbound execution
Lead the company’s channel strategy across a North American partner ecosystem, directly managing channel-facing sellers
Build senior-level partner relationships, design co-selling and enablement motions, and ensure strong execution and accountability through clear goals, data, and performance reviews

Required

Experience managing direct sales teams, Account Executives
Experience managing channel sellers
Proven tenure within a high-growth ARR business during a meaningful scaling phase
Strong cybersecurity domain expertise, ideally within SMB or mid-market segments
10+ years of B2B SaaS sales leadership experience, with proven first-line leadership managing Account Executives and channel-facing sellers
Directly participated in scaling a company through an early growth phase, for example, taking revenue from approximately: from circa $20m to circa $50m ARR or from circa $50m to circa $100m ARR
Comfortable creating structure and predictability from an evolving foundation, with a strong command of forecasting, KPIs, and performance management
Track record of building high-performing teams and addressing underperformance

Preferred

Experience selling through both direct and partner-led motions and navigating security-led buying cycles
Leaders who have experienced this stage of growth before reaching $100m ARR and who are motivated by building scale rather than inheriting it
