Accounting Manager - In-Office - Fort Worth (125k-135k + Bonus)

LHH is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager on behalf of a privately held, growth-oriented consumer products organization. This role will oversee core accounting operations and partner closely with senior finance leadership to strengthen processes, ensure compliance, and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring alignment with organizational values, objectives, and best practices
Lead the monthly and annual close processes, including preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Oversee general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and fixed asset accounting
Partner with shared services teams to manage record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and payroll processes
Maintain and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance standards
Prepare and analyze accounting metrics and financial results for leadership
Ensure accurate and timely state, local, and federal regulatory and excise tax filings
Support external audits and serve as a key point of contact for auditors
Review operating and G&A expenses, analyze variances versus budget and forecast, and provide actionable insights
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, pricing administration, and tracking of financial plans
Support accounts payable, procurement, and vendor-related accounting activities
Develop Excel-based financial models and provide ad hoc analysis as requested
Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility
Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
Proven ability to analyze large data sets and translate them into meaningful financial insights
High level of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

CPA, CMA, or advanced degree preferred
ERP system experience preferred (SAP a plus)
