Responsibilities
Advise on large-scale contracts with high-profile counterparties, including third-party vendors, cloud, SaaS, IT service providers and outsourcing partners
Work closely with procurement, product, engineering and operations teams
Lead on negotiating and structuring high-value commercial agreements with retailers, acquirers and other international counterparties
Balance commercial ambition with legal risk
Manage complex, multi-jurisdictional contracts with high-profile counterparties
Qualification
Required
4–10 years' PQE
Strong commercial legal background
Experience operating at the intersection of financial services and technology
Proven track record of managing complex, multi-jurisdictional contracts with high-profile counterparties
Proven commercial judgement and pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
Experience with procurement and/or sales contracting (depending on the role)
Exposure to consumer-facing products and services
Experience negotiating large-scale agreements with third-party vendors, acquirers, retailers and IT/technology providers
Understanding of privacy and data governance frameworks (GDPR, GLBA, CCPA/CPRA)
Ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally
Preferred
Experience in financial services or fintech
Familiarity with privacy matters — including GDPR, GLBA, and CCPA/CPRA
