Senior Support Engineer

Responsibilities
Manage Incident, Problem, and Service Level processes, including performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Effectively resolve functional issues and keep stakeholders informed
Ensure assigned applications remain available and fully operational
Provide support for Change Management and infrastructure-related activities
Analyze recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions
Participate in post-deployment testing of new versions and platform configuration
Collaborate with multiple teams across geographies (US, Mexico, India)
Monitor and maintain application availability
Delivering timely production and project status reports to IT management
Demonstrate integrity, initiative, and innovation as a highly motivated self-starter
Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience in managing L2 Production Support
Strong understanding of Java with proven experience in Java development
Expertise in integrating applications using SOAP/REST services and MuleSoft APIs
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as ReactJS, JavaScript, and CSS
Advanced skills in developing front-end applications using Java 8, Spring, and Spring Boot
Solid knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design, including common design patterns
Deep understanding of Java and JEE internals (e.g., class loading, memory management, transaction management)
Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL) and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
Strong ReactJS and JavaScript development skills
Hands-on experience with the Spring Boot framework
Background in working with large, distributed systems
Experience in test-driven development (TDD)
Ability to support continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies and presenting recommendations for architectural review
Strong understanding of XML and JSON Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs)
Capability to identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering

Preferred
Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry or AWS is a plus
