Responsibilities
Design and integrate embedded microprocessor systems including:
ARM cores
DDR memory interfaces
High-speed USB and Ethernet
Perform circuit and system simulations using:
LTSpice (circuit analysis)
HyperLynx (signal integrity)
MATLAB (system-level modeling)
Lead full hardware design cycles:
Requirements analysis
Schematic capture using Mentor VX / Designer
High-speed PCB layout and analysis
Execute subsystem and system-level test plans
Use lab equipment such as:
Oscilloscopes
Logic analyzers
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve critical hardware defects
Design for MIL-STD-461 (EMI/EMC) compliance
Apply IPC standards to ensure reliability in harsh environments
Support programs requiring U.S. Security Clearance
Ensure design practices meet defense and aerospace requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
6+ years of relevant experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred
Familiarity with Software Defined Radio (SDR) architectures
Understanding of digital board interaction with RF circuitry
Experience with embedded software
Python scripting
VHDL
Use of scripting or HDL to automate analysis and accelerate troubleshooting
Experience with Agile PLM or similar configuration management tools
Familiarity with Boundary Scan / JTAG tools for high-density PCB testing
