Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications
Build modern UI using Jetpack Compose or XML layouts
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers
Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices
Conduct unit and integration testing and participate in code reviews
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance, stability, and security issues
Support the full application lifecycle from development to release
Participate in quarterly onsite meetings in Austin, TX
Qualification
Required
7+ years of professional Android development experience
Strong proficiency in Kotlin (Java is a plus)
Extensive experience with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture
Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose
Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
Proven ability to debug complex issues and optimize app performance
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Ability to travel to Austin, TX once per quarter
Preferred
Experience with Coroutines & Flow
Knowledge of mobile security best practices
Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the Google Play Store
Exposure to cross-platform frameworks (React Native / Flutter)
