Technical Support Analyst
SPECTRAFOR is seeking a Data Center Technician who will serve as a primary resolver for support teams, skilled in troubleshooting complex hardware infrastructure issues. The role involves maintaining documentation, executing small projects, and supporting junior technicians while ensuring safety and security standards during installations.
Responsibilities
Moving and implementing large enterprise equipment
Installing Fiber and Copper cabling and patching cabling between equipment
Ensuring proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation
Following well established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities
Safely using material handling tools and equipment
Qualification
Required
Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving most complex hardware infrastructure issues
Create and maintain documentation on technologies supported
Ability to effectively pass down knowledge of technologies to junior staff
Basic to intermediate system administration skills
Ability to take on remote system administration tasks working in a virtual team
Ability to automate tasks with scripts when necessary
Work autonomously to resolve most support issues
Ability to execute small projects independently
Work with manager in planning and executing larger local projects
Act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians
Understand all aspects of the equipment supported
Ability to innovate and make decisions independently
Ability to take direction when given
Pay attention to all details involved

Preferred
3+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
2+ years of computer networking experience
Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
