Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical circuits, panels, enclosures, and cabling for industrial automation systems
Support projects involving:
PLC-based control systems
Ethernet communications
Robotics integration
Power distribution systems
Collaborate with management and engineering teams to define system requirements and technical specifications
Electrically integrate disparate industrial components and machinery into factory automation systems
Design custom electrical circuitry, control panels, and cabling required for system integration
Integrate industrial safety components into factory automation systems
Provide guidance on assembly and installation of newly designed systems
Work with vendors to:
Identify appropriate automation components
Support implementation and troubleshooting of purchased equipment
Produce and maintain detailed electrical documentation for manufacturing and assembly
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
4+ years of experience in electrical engineering related to: Factory automation, Industrial system integration
Strong experience designing PLC-based factory control systems
Strong experience integrating industrial safety components
Proven ability to electrically integrate complex industrial machinery and systems
Strong understanding of electrical assembly processes, including: Electrical panels, Electrical enclosures, Cable assemblies
Proficient in electrical schematic capture for complete systems using: AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, Similar schematic design tools
Proficient with mechanical CAD tools, such as: SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor
Hands-on experience using: Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers
Strong documentation skills for manufacturing and installation
Preferred
Experience working directly with automation equipment vendors
Ability to evaluate and select components for industrial automation systems
Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
